My neighbor in Colorado is a champion target shooter in competitions throughout Wyoming, Montana, Colorado and New Mexico. He also enjoys hunting, but had to go to a private reserve to hunt the otherwise-protected bison. When I saw this front-page photo on the front of a hunting magazine, I just had to paint it, because it so perfectly personifed the man and his interests.
